Second silk scarf

On this scarf I have tied knots to join threads, and knots to just end/start – leaving about 1cm hanging loose – upper right hand corner, lower left, and just below centre some can be seen.

When more stitching is done more knots will also be evident, and I am pleased with this look and the potential on another scale ….. Posted by Picasa

I can imagine how scrummy this is to do. Are you going to absolutely cover the fabric with stitch – I do hope so.
Strangely enough Helen Parrott was wearing a cotton scarf stitched in the same way: black with red and white stitching, but not all over so looked more linear, and less scrummily rucked overall. She carries thread and needle around with her and works on it when hanging around for whatever reason.

exactly – and although it is more comfortable to do on a table with a shiny scratchproof surface, I too will be carting it around to do some more on when ‘hanging around’, which in fact I have to do some of this very afternoon.
