{"id":160,"date":"2006-03-20T22:26:00","date_gmt":"2006-03-21T03:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alison.gloderworks.net\/weblog\/?p=160"},"modified":"2006-03-20T22:26:00","modified_gmt":"2006-03-21T03:26:00","slug":"everything-comes-to-those-who-wait","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alisonschwabe.com\/weblog\/?p=160","title":{"rendered":"Everything comes to those who wait"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Although<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/4201\/926\/640\/spiddrs%20web%20lace%20-%20fine.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"CLEAR: all; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/4201\/926\/320\/spiddrs%20web%20lace%20-%20fine.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a> I found this beautiful fine piece of spiderweb lace in the antique markets on saturday, (only 350 pesos which is currently about $13 or $14 US&#8230;.) <em><strong>it has been a long wait this week<\/strong><\/em> for blbogger to sort out the problems preventing many users publishing text or pics. <em><strong>What a treasure<\/strong><\/em> this is &#8211; the finest example I have ever seen, so far, of the nanditu lace from Paraguay &#8211; otherwise known as spiderweb lace<strong><em>.<br \/><\/em><\/strong>This hankerchief is approx 12 inches across, and the irregular section 4 to 6 inches across in places, the fine silk fabric very thin and worn away in a spot near the upper edge.<\/p>\n<p>However, great excitement, tomorrow I am actually going to Paraguay for a few days with visiting friend Kitty, on a Girls Own Adventure trip, and among other things plan to go somewhere to see this being made, if we possibly can &#8211; we have a contact. <a href=\"http:\/\/picasa.google.com\/blogger\/\" target=\"ext\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"BORDER-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; BACKGROUND: 0% 50%; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM: 0px; moz-background-clip: initial; moz-background-origin: initial; moz-background-inline-policy: initial\" alt=\"Posted by Picasa\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/photos1.blogger.com\/pbp.gif\" align=\"middle\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>POSTSCRIPT 27\/3<\/strong> <\/em>someone asked if I was planning to use this or possibly frame it &#8211; I may use it sometime, but I am more likely to place it in my box of various lovely things, and just take it out and either show friends or myself, again.
