Shortly after sunrise this morning, at around 7am, the beach was beautiful.\u00a0 The tide was way out and just turning as I walked eastwards into the early morning sun;\u00a0there was\u00a0\u00a0only a handful of people from one end to the other; and very little rubbish abandoned\u00a0 by yesterday’s and last night’s visitors.<\/p>\n

Jelly fish are ‘in season’ these past few days UL and LR,<\/em><\/span><\/span> someone’s diggings UR<\/span><\/span><\/em> were about to be inundated and wiped\u00a0away;\u00a0 something large lifted\u00a0a large\u00a0jellyfish LR<\/span><\/em><\/span> to leave the print of its underside\u00a0in the path of the incoming tide.\u00a0 Very few tracks are permanent\u00a0 – or is the opposite true?\u00a0 Now that I’ve written that, I’m not sure it is …. but anyway the big gulls breakfasting on this fresh barracouta or similar fish LL<\/em><\/span><\/span> waited patiently nearby for me to pass, and will have picked the bones clean by now if the incoming tide and other people walking along the beach didn’t defeat them!<\/p>\n

I’m glad I had my camera.\u00a0 The water was relatively calm and so clear,\u00a0that\u00a0as the tide turned\u00a0 over the shallow sand their intersecting patterns could be clearly seen in the early morning sun.<\/p>\n
